필리핀 전통가옥인 Bahay Kubo의 공간 원리를 현대적으로 해석하였다. 지붕은 한국 전통건축의 처마가 지닌 수평적 아름다움과 깊은 그늘에서 출발하며 두 지역의 건축적 기억을 현대의 조형 질서로 이어간다. 필리핀의 장소성, 한국적 공간 감각, 현대 건축의 언어가 공존하는 새로운 골프클럽 건축을 구현한다.

2. 유행을 넘는 건축 조형의 품격
Timeless Monumentality

과도한 장식이나 화려한 표현에 기대지 않고 건축의 비례와 형태만으로 존재감을 드러내고자 하였다. 절제된 곡면과 크게 펼쳐진 지붕은 명료한 조형을 이루며, 골프클럽을 넘어 지역의 새로운 상징이 되도록 계획했다. 시간이 흐른 뒤에도 힘을 잃지 않는 비례와 질서를 통해 건축의 품격을 완성하고자 하였다.

3. 수평이 만드는 안정감
Horizontal Serenity

길게 뻗은 수평적 매스는 주변 자연과 경쟁하지 않고 풍경의 흐름을 따른다. 낮게 펼쳐진 지붕과 깊은 처마는 강한 열대의 햇빛과 비를 조절하고 실내에서 바라보는 풍경의 폭을 넓힌다. 건축은 지형 위에 스스로를 드러내기보다 대지와 수평선을 따라 낮게 머물며, 주변 자연과 안정된 관계를 형성한다.

Regional Synthesis
The project reinterprets the spatial principles of the Philippine vernacular house, Bahay Kubo, through a contemporary architectural approach. Its roof draws inspiration from the horizontal elegance and deep overhangs of traditional Korean architecture, connecting the architectural heritage of both cultures through a modern design language. The result is a new golf club architecture where the spirit of place in the Philippines, the spatial sensibility of Korean architecture, and contemporary architectural expression coexist in harmony.

Timeless Monumentality
Rather than relying on excessive ornament or expressive forms, the design seeks to establish its presence through proportion and form alone. The restrained curved surfaces and expansive roof create a clear architectural identity, allowing the golf club to become not only a destination but also a new landmark for the region. Through enduring proportions and a disciplined architectural order, the design aspires to achieve a timeless sense of dignity.

Horizontal Serenity
The elongated horizontal mass follows the natural flow of the landscape rather than competing with it. The low, expansive roof and deep eaves provide protection from the tropical sun and rain while extending the visual connection between the interior and the surrounding scenery. Instead of asserting itself above the site, the building rests gently along the land and horizon, establishing a calm and harmonious relationship with the surrounding nature.
