JUNO HAIR Bonifacio BGC, Philippines
준오헤어가 이야기하는 "Good to Great."

JUNO HAIR BGC marks the brand's first step beyond Korea. More than opening another salon, the project became the design of a place where the brand would meet the world for the first time. Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is one of Manila's fastest-growing international districts, where global brands, contemporary architecture, and urban life come together. Rather than simply exporting a Korean salon, our intention was to create a space that would feel naturally at home within this cosmopolitan environment while preserving the identity of JUNO HAIR.
The defining characteristic of the site is its remarkable seven-meter ceiling height. From the outset, we regarded this extraordinary volume as the project's greatest opportunity. Instead of dividing the space horizontally, we chose to preserve its full vertical openness, allowing visitors to experience the salon as one continuous architectural volume.
Mirrored surfaces extending across the walls and ceiling further amplify this sense of openness. During the day, generous natural light fills the interior. At night, reflections of glass, metal, and carefully composed lighting transform the salon into an entirely different spatial experience. The atmosphere changes naturally with the passing hours.
The curved ceiling became the project's central architectural gesture. Inspired by the Romanesque vault and reinterpreted through a contemporary language, it unifies the interior with a gentle rhythm rather than a dramatic form. Its purpose is not simply visual expression, but to guide movement and create a calm, continuous spatial experience.
Materials were deliberately restrained. Glass, metal, and warm-toned surfaces were composed in quiet balance, allowing generous circulation and openness to become the primary qualities of the space. As visitors move deeper into the salon, the atmosphere gradually becomes more intimate, naturally shifting their attention away from the city and toward themselves.
JUNO HAIR's philosophy—"Good to Great."—takes on a particular meaning here. As the brand's first international flagship, the BGC branch translates that ambition into architecture. It is the place where many people encounter JUNO HAIR for the very first time, and where the brand's global identity begins to take physical form.

Growing a Brand Through Space
Our collaboration with JUNO HAIR began in 2006. At the time, JUNO HAIR had not yet become the global brand it is today. What stood out was not its scale, but the philosophy of its founder, who believed that people always come before business. We believed architecture could help express that philosophy.
A hair salon is more than a place for cutting hair. It is where people pause, meet, regain confidence, and spend a meaningful part of their day. The atmosphere of a salon is shaped not only by design, but by the relationships that unfold within it. Rather than relying on expressive forms, we focused on the qualities that people quietly experience. The movement of light, the rhythm of circulation, the texture of materials, and the balance between openness and privacy were carefully composed to create spaces that feel calm, natural, and welcoming.
Over nearly two decades, JUNO HAIR has grown from a leading Korean salon into an internationally recognized brand. Along that journey, Y GROUP continued to work alongside the company through projects including the renewal of the Migeum flagship salon and new locations in Bonifacio Global City, Manila, and Orchard Road, Singapore.
Each project responded to a different city and a different context, yet they all began with the same belief: Architecture should not simply express a brand. It should embody the way the brand thinks and serves people.
For us, the JUNO HAIR projects are not merely a series of salon designs. They represent the story of a brand that has grown over time, with architecture accompanying that journey.
That question continues to guide every project we undertake: What kind of memory will people take away from this place?
