베트남 후에(Hue)는 과거 베트남 마지막 왕조의 수도였던 도시다. 오랜 역사와 문화적 유산을 간직한 곳이며, 최근에는 베트남의 새로운 성장 거점으로 주목받고 있다. 다낭에 이어 국제 관광과 리조트 산업의 중심지로 성장하기 위한 다양한 개발이 진행되고 있으며, 향후 베트남의 주요 직할시 가운데 하나로 자리매김할 가능성이 높은 지역이다. KX Golf & Resort는 KX그룹의 해외 진출과 함께 시작된 프로젝트다. 하지만 이 프로젝트를 단순한 골프장 개발로 이해하는 것은 정확하지 않다. 골프장은 중요한 운영 시설이지만, 사업의 본질은 더 큰 그림에 있었다. 어떻게 새로운 지역에 사람을 모으고, 체류를 만들고, 주거와 휴양이 함께 성장하는 복합개발 모델을 만들 것인가.

우리는 골프장을 중심으로 리조트와 주거, 호텔과 레저시설이 함께 작동하는 하나의 마스터플랜을 제안했다. 프로젝트는 36홀 규모의 챔피언십 골프코스와 해안 조망을 품은 클럽하우스, 고급 골프 빌리지, 글로벌 호텔, 온천형 워터파크를 포함한 복합 리조트로 계획되었다. 골프는 프로젝트의 출발점이지만, 궁극적으로는 사람들이 머물고 생활하는 새로운 커뮤니티를 만드는 것이 목표였다.

클럽하우스는 후에의 자연환경과 기후를 고려하여 계획했다. 한국적 공간 감각을 바탕으로 하면서도 베트남의 풍토와 생활 방식에 자연스럽게 스며들 수 있는 건축을 지향했다. 동선의 효율성과 운영의 편의성, 그리고 방문객이 경험하게 될 공간의 흐름을 중요하게 고려했다. 건축은 과장된 형태보다 사용성과 경험을 우선하는 방향으로 접근했다.

골프 빌리지는 해안선을 향한 조망을 최대한 확보하도록 배치했다. 주택은 단순히 바다를 바라보는 집이 아니라 자연과 휴양, 커뮤니티가 함께 형성되는 생활 환경으로 계획되었다.

와이그룹은 오랫동안 골프장과 리조트, 주거와 복합개발 프로젝트를 수행해 왔다. KX Golf & Resort 역시 건축과 도시, 운영과 사업 전략을 함께 고민하며 접근한 프로젝트다. 결국 좋은 개발은 건물을 짓는 것에서 끝나지 않는다. 사람들이 찾고, 머물고, 다시 돌아오게 만드는 이유를 만드는 일에 가깝다. KX Golf & Resort는 후에의 새로운 미래를 준비하는 과정 속에서, 골프와 휴양, 주거가 함께 성장할 수 있는 새로운 모델을 제안한 프로젝트다.

Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam’s last dynasty, is a city rich in history and cultural heritage. Today, it is emerging as one of Vietnam’s most promising growth regions, with plans to strengthen its position as an international tourism and resort destination following the success of Da Nang. KX Golf & Resort began as part of KX Group’s international expansion strategy. However, this project was never simply about building a golf course. While golf serves as an important operational component, the broader objective was to create a comprehensive development model capable of attracting residents, visitors, and long-term investment. The central question was straightforward: How can a destination be created where hospitality, residential living, recreation, and tourism reinforce one another?

In response, Y GROUP developed a masterplan that integrates golf, hospitality, residential communities, leisure facilities, and wellness programs into a unified destination. The project includes a 36-hole championship golf course, a clubhouse overlooking the coastline of Hue, a luxury golf village, a six-star international hotel, and a hot-spring water park. Golf may provide the initial attraction, but the long-term vision extends far beyond the fairways. The ultimate goal is to establish a vibrant resort community where people choose not only to visit, but also to stay, invest, and build lasting connections.

The clubhouse was designed with careful consideration of Hue’s climate, landscape, and cultural context. While informed by Korean design sensibilities, the architecture seeks to respond naturally to the local environment and way of life. Operational efficiency, circulation, and user experience were prioritized throughout the design process. Rather than relying on expressive forms, the architecture focuses on usability, comfort, and the quality of experience.

The golf villas are positioned to maximize views toward the coastline and surrounding landscape. The residential component is conceived not simply as a collection of vacation homes, but as an integrated living environment where nature, leisure, and community can coexist.

Over the years, Y GROUP has worked extensively across golf developments, resorts, residential communities, and large-scale masterplans. KX Golf & Resort reflects this integrated approach. Architecture, urban planning, operations, and business strategy were considered together from the earliest stages of the project. Successful development is not defined solely by the buildings that are constructed. It is defined by the reasons people choose to come, stay, and return. KX Golf & Resort represents a vision for the future of Hue—one where golf, hospitality, residential living, and tourism can grow together within a single destination.
